This illustrated fairy tale is

inspired by the story of a refugee family from Afghanistan.  It is build upon interviews of the two main characters, mother and son.

​

Across cultures, fairy tales are a way to share stories to understand the experiences of others and the world around us.

With this book I want to encourage parents and children to think and talk together about experiences of refugee families.
